Ohai guys. Round 2 entry, DONE. And it's not even 9 pm. 8D I hope points don't get deducted for being so... matchy-matchy... Hurr, I changed the backdrop colors. //sobs about backgrounds
Lady Lain: "Oh, gosh, the circus was even more fun than a rockshow! I've never been to the circus before so I had no idea what I was doing. It was fun to watch the performers though. I had no idea some monsters could bend the way they do. Haha! As for me, I was supposed to be a 'fire juggler.' I'd seen some pictures of fire jugglers and I fell in love with how the camera captured the trails of the fire. I just had to do the same! I hope it turned out okay. I'm no juggler, so I basically just whipped the batons around sporadically. (Uhh, it's not noticeable in the photo, is it?) And of course, my favorite part of the challenges... the costumes! I quite possible drove my costume designer CRAZY with the number of outfit changes I went through. My fire juggler 'mentor' told me that I couldn't wear something flowy because it would be a fire hazard - imagine me catching on fire! So tight it was. Do I look good or what? (Hint: I look DIVINE.) I absolutely loved this challenge. I can't wait for the next one!"
Lady's smile seems to grow larger with every challenge... XD I really liked this outfit. And my in-character assessment was not false - I changed the outfit last minute, but I'm sure glad I did. ;u; I also played with shadows and lighting a lot more than I usually do. I hope it looks okay. Figuring out where the shadows fall with multiple light sources is haaaard. X'D
Lady Lain you are looking absolutely amazing this week, I can't get over how mush I love all of the motion and how serious you look (it looks like the photo was snapped while you were spinning). I love how the light from the torches is reflecting off of you, it adds to the mysterious atmosphere that is an intrinsic part of the circus.
I really love the way that you delicately added the stripes to your costume, it's a wonderful balance in that it hints at the circus but they aren't abundant enough to make it cliché...in fact it has a kind of steampunk-esque quality about it that I just love!
She's so fierce, so elegant in this photo, and I really like her attitude (I think Aisling and her would be friends! )! Also, I adore her outfit, especially her boots and the upper part (is she wearing stockings, perhaps? ). Also, I think that, the fact that the dominant colour in this picture is black , really helps to emphasize the flames and the lights coming from them! I loved it!
Oh, thank you! Do you think so? I think it would be super cute if they'd be friends. Lady loves making friends but I don't think she ever gets the chance to. c:
But thanks for noticing the lights and darks. I really wanted the main brightness to come from the fire so it would stand out more. :'D

And of course: it really stands out, and I really like the effect of the "rotating flames"! You did really an amazing work!
Thank you so much. ;u;
